India Maldives Conflict: On one side, Maldives is dealing with resentment from Indian tourists. Uttar Pradesh continues to be the most popular tourist destination in India and around the world. More than 32 crore tourists recently visited Uttar Pradesh, with 9.5 lakh coming from foreign countries. If we consider the Maldives’ population of 5 lakh, twice as many tourists are visiting Uttar Pradesh as there are in the Maldives. Meanwhile, 31 crore 91 lakh tourists from all over the country visited Uttar Pradesh.

Maldives Vs Uttar Pradesh Tourism

According to reports, the Maldives has a population of somewhat more than 5 lakh. According to the figures, Indians spent only Rs 3,152 crore in the Maldives over the last year.  In this case, if Indians stop going there, the Maldives could lose more than Rs 8.6 crore per day. On the other hand, while 3.91 crores of tourists from all over the country have visited Uttar Pradesh, 2.03 crores have visited Ayodhya, 4.49 crores have visited Prayagraj, and more than 8.42 crores have visited Kashmir.
