IMDB Indian Films That Broke Records In Tickets Pre-Sales in 2024: Pushpa 2, Stree 2, And More

Ticket Pre-Sales Record:  Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule has set a new record by selling over 1 million tickets on BookMyShow leaving behind the likes of Kalki 2898 AD and Stree 2. The pan-Indian movie set to release on 5 December 2024 is one of the highly anticipated films of the year hence the numbers are just a mere testament to the craze of people awaiting the release of Allu Arjun’s next. 

Pushpa 2 now stands alone on top as the film with the most pre-sale tickets sold in 2024 however several notable releases deserve a mention. 

Kalki 2898 

The epic sci-fi thriller starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani pre-release booking started in the United States, and in a few days, the film became the fastest Indian film to cross US$1 million in pre-booking. Worldwide, Kalki earned about Rs 1200 crore over a budget of Rs. 600 crore. 

Stree 2

Shraddha Kapoor led Stree 2 to break the records of its own predecessor’s day one record by its mere advance booking with an estimated collection of Rs. 6.8 crore. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also stars Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khuranna. It grossed over ₹874.58 crore making it the second highest-grossing Indian film so far. 

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri, and Madhuri Dixit starrer horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 created quite a stir with its popularity and anticipation. The film earned around Rs. 13 crore in advance booking with its box office collection still going strong. So far the film has grossed a collection of Rs.305.75 Crore in India. 

Singham Again 

Rohit Shetty's directorial Singham Again stood at pre-sales of nearly Rs. 10  crores gross on Day 1 of advance booking. The film featuring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor continues to dazzle at the cinemas with a total collection of ₹247.85 crore so far.
