Apple has introduced many of its new operating systems. In this, users will get to see many new experiences. Apple's WWDC keynote debuted with iOS 16 and as we anticipated, the lock screen has been a major improvement through the iOS 16 OS.
Apple has called it the biggest update ever. Whether you've set up a photo, a still wallpaper, or a new live wallpaper, you'll be able to customise the way the date and time part appear. Each element can be deeply customised by adding different fonts, colours, shades of those colours, and widgets.
You'll be able to customise the widget to show below the date and time. Notifications on the lock screen are now more discrete – they'll occupy the bottom of the screen, so they don't block the picture you put as wallpaper. You can move through photos using Photo Shuffle, which will shuffle photos you've pre-selected, or choose for you if you prefer.
The new 'Live Screen' activity feature will also be available in the lock screen. In this case, if you are getting frequent updates from an app, such as about matches, then the lock screen will also be shown to that. You don't have to unlock the phone to see these live activities.
It is getting a major update with the ability to edit messages. This is a feature that is provided in messaging apps like Telegram. Users will also be able to undo the sending of messages. There will also be a facility to recall messages. This is a feature that is also offered in apps like Signal, Instagram and WhatsApp.
According to Apple, users can mark messages as unread, allowing them to return to the conversation later. According to Apple, SharePlay is also coming to Messages with iOS 16, which lets users watch synced content like movies and songs while sharing playback controls in Messages chat.
