According to the Indian Foreign Ministry, India and China have agreed to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in the summer of 2025. The announcement came after Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Monday.

In the year 2020, conflicts between India and China occurred in the Galwan Valley and Pangong Tso Lake in eastern Ladakh. Following this, tensions between the two countries rose, leading to the stoppage of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
