The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is available with two powertrain options, the 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system and the 1.5-litre TNGA petrol motor with a strong-hybrid system. The former, which generates 102bhp and 137 Nm of torque, is paired with a five-speed manual unit and a six-speed torque converter automatic unit. An AWD system is offered only with manual variants. The strong-hybrid version, also known as the Intelligent Electric Hybrid system, produces 91bhp and 122Nm via the ICE unit and 114bhp and 141 Nm, mated exclusively to an e-CVT unit.
The 2022 Kia Seltos is available in two petrol and one diesel engine options. The 1.5-litre Smartstream petrol engine produces 112bhp at 6,300rpm and 144 Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. This engine is available in six-speed manual, six-speed iMT, and IVT transmission options. The 1.4-litre Smartstream Turbo-GDi petrol engine generates 136bhp at 6,000rpm and 242 Nm of torque between 1,500-3,200rpm. The Turbo engine is available with a six-speed manual and 7DCT option. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine generates 112bhp at 4,000rpm and 250 Nm of torque between 1,500rpm-2,750rpm. This engine is available in a six-speed manual, iMT, and automatic torque converter.
The MG Astor is the first compact SUV in India that gets both AI features and Level 2 ASAS safety features, but these ADAS safety features will be available as an option on the VTi-Tech Sharp CVT and 220 Sharp AT variants. The 2021 MG Astor is the Chinese automaker's fifth model to go on sale in India and it is essentially the petrol-powered version of the MG ZS EV. It is also the brand's most affordable offering yet. The new MG Astor is also the company's first model to feature an AI-based personal assistant and Level 2 autonomous tech with ADAS functions. MG has revealed that it will offer price protection to the first 5,000 customers of the Astor.
