Pakistan Imran Khan Arrested: Seven former Prime Ministers including Imran Khan have been detained in Pakistan

Pakistan, a neighbour of India, is currently through its most challenging period. The arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan on Tuesday brought Pakistan's political drama, which has been accompanied by an economic crisis, to a head. Following that, his party's supporters, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), took to the streets and caused mayhem.

It is not the first time a former Pakistani prime minister has been detained. Seven past Pakistani prime ministers were already incarcerated before this. Even one prime minister was hanged. Imran Khan was taken into custody by Pakistani Rangers on May 9, 2023. Since Imran's imprisonment, there is a lot of anxiety throughout the entire region. Strong protests have been organised by Imran's supporters all around the nation.
