Pope Francis Dies At 88, Announces Vatican

World News:  Pope Francis, the first Latin American to be bestowed with the role of leading the Roman Catholic Church, died at the age of 88 on Monday. The news was announced by the Vatican in a video statement by Cardinal Kevin Farrell confirming the demise of Pope Francis. He was recovering from pneumonia, however, the cause of his death is still unclear.

During his decade-long years of papacy, he professed mercy, humility, and peace. 

The Pope has addressed the world on Easter Sunday with a call for the freedom of thought and tolerance while condemning the situation in Gaza.
