Rajkot Gaming Zone Fire: The Gujarat High Court has now been included in the Rajkot fire incident. The matter will be heard in the Gujarat High Court tomorrow, on Monday. The High Court could issue instructions on the state’s game zone tomorrow. On Saturday, 35 people died in a fire in Rajkot, including 12 children. A special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to look into the matter. The SIT team has been instructed to submit the investigation report to the state government within 72 hours.
The Rajkot fire has been named a “man-made disaster” by the Gujarat High Court. According to a bench of Justices Biren Vaishnav and Devan Desai, these gaming areas and recreational facilities were constructed without the required permissions from the relevant authorities. The High Court also asked the state government and local corporations if the affected areas had been granted such licenses, including usage and compliance with fire safety regulations.
