Rituraj Singh Dies: Rituraj Singh, an actor known for acting in multiple TV shows including Anupama, movies, and on OTT died on 20 February due to cardiac arrest. The actor was suffering from pancreatic disease. He was rushed to the hospital following the cardiac arrest however could not survive the sudden blow of a heart attack.
The news of his demise was confirmed by his close friend Amit Bhel, who reported to a media house saying “Yes he passed away due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted to a hospital some time back for treatment of pancreas returned home had some cardiac complications and passed away.”
I am so saddened to know that Ritu Raj passed away. We lived in the same building, he was a part of my first film as a producer. Lost a friend and a great actor… will miss you brother…
The news has left the entertainment industry and its admirers in shock. Many took to X to express their grief. One user tweeted, “I first saw him in Banegi Apni Baat & have seen him in many shows over the years including Beintehaa. Rituraj Singh made his debut in 1988 and since then has been a part of numerous shows, movies, and OTT series. On television, he donned the skin of grey and negative characters with utmost ease. He was a part of popular shows including ‘Diya aur Baati Hum’, ‘Beintehaan’, and more recently he was seen on ‘Anupama’.
In movies, he was popularly known for playing Varun Dhawan’s father in his romance drama, Badrinath ki Dulhania starring Alia Bhatt in the lead. ‘Bandish Bandits’, ‘Never Kiss Your Best Friend’, and ‘Made in Heaven 2’ were some of his ventures in the OTT sphere.
