Share Market News: In the past few years, the share market has seen a great boost. As many new investors came into the market and invested their money, there are also some people who have invested their money in the share market and forgotten it, resulting in about Rs 25,000 crores of unclaimed shares in the country, on which no claimant is present.
The data shared by the Investor Education and Protection Fund has shown that there are about Rs 25,000 crores of unclaimed shares in the country and investors are not claiming their returns, or perhaps they do not have any information about these shares. There are many reasons for this, including inactive DMAT account, death of DMAT account holder resulting in no claim due to non-nomination. Apart from this, many investors still have physical shares and they have not digitally uploaded the shares.
