Sky Force on OTT: Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya starrer Sky Force released in theaters on the occasion of Republic Day. Now viewers can watch the film from the comfort of their phones or laptops without paying any extra rent. The digital streaming of the film will bring its story to a wider audience across 120 countries. Here is when and where you can watch Sky Force online.
Streaming platform Prime Video has announced that the film will be available to stream on the global streaming platform from 21 March. The film is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur under the banner of Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
Made on a budget of around Rs. 160 crore the action-thriller only managed to earn a gross collection of Rs. 149 crore approximately making it a flop at the box office.
After its theatrical release, the film has been available to rent on the OTT platform, Prime Video, however now the audience can watch the film rent-free under their Prime Video subscription.
Apart from Kumar and Pahariya, the film has Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Sharad Kelkar, Mohit Chauhan, Manish Chaudhary, Varun Badola, Virendra Singh, Anupam Jordaar, Jaywant Wadkar and Soham Majumdar in the cast ensemble.
Sky Force is based on the real events of India’s first deadliest air strike on Pakistan in 1965. Set against the backdrop of the 1965 Indo-Pak war, the film follows Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja essayed by Akshay Kumar, and Squadron Leader T Vijay played by Veer Pahadia.
The story unfolds with the Pakistani fighter planes attacking the Indian Air Force with stronger planes from America. Despite the lack of advanced weaponry Indian Air Force retaliated with full force led by the Wing Commander and his team carrying out a deadly surprise attack on Sargodha Airbase, one of the strongest air bases in Pakistan. The retaliation leads to the Squadron Leader missing in action with his fellow commander on a quest to find him.
