Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao’s Horror Comedy Enters 100 Cr Club

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Recently released ‘Stree 2’ has taken over the box office in just two days of its release, breaking many records and beating blockbuster Bollywood hits. The movie, which was released in theatres on 15th August 2024, is currently ruling the charts in terms of collective earnings, including both domestic and international. The movie is a sequel to the 2018 released ‘Stree’, and along with the existing cast, ‘Stree 2’ also introduced some new faces in the ensemble cast. The movie stars Rajkummar Rao reprising the role of Vicky, while Shraddha once again portrays the mysterious character without a name. Stree 2 also casts Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Sunita Rajwar.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection Worldwide

On its first day of release, the film brought in an incredible Rs 60 Cr, surpassing the opening weekend earnings of Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ and SRK’s ‘Pathan’. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie collected Rs 35.30 Cr nett on its second day, bringing its total domestic earnings to Rs 100.10 Cr. Stree 2 had 1175 shows in the Delhi-NCR region on Friday, with an overall Hindi occupancy of 45.31 percent; in Mumbai, there were 1107 shows, with an occupancy of 43.5 percent. According to Sacnilk, the movie has collected Rs 125.05 Cr worldwide in two days.

Stree 2 Beats ‘Gadar 2’ Collections

Stree 2 has surpassed the remarkable two-day earnings of Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’, which was released on Independence Day last year and earned Rs 83.18 Cr. Apart from Stree 2, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ and John Abraham’s ‘Vedaa’ were also released on Independence Day, with Akshay Kumar's earning a total box office collection of Rs 6.95 Cr and John Abraham’s earning Rs 7.9 Cr. Based on its progress, the film is expected to break records with its opening weekend earnings. 

Stree 2 Cast

Along with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, among others reprisng their roles. The film introduces Tamannaah Bhatia as “Shama,” who was also seen in the dance number ‘Aaj Ki Raat’, plays a crucial role in the movie. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film also has a cameo of Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan. A part of Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy, Stree 2 is the fifth film in the franchise, with Stree, Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya, being the first 4 films of the franchise.
