Switch EiV12 Intra-City Bus Platform Launched | Key details

Switch Mobility, the electric division of Ashok Leyland, has launched its electric bus range EiV 12 in India. Talking about the variants, this EiV 12 electric bus will come in two variants, in which the first is low floor and the second is standard. It is designed for intra and inter-city applications. The recently launched Switch e1 bus platform in the European market has been shared in this as well.

600 units order placed

The company says that it is currently placing orders for over 600 units for the 12 meter long buses. The new Switch Ei V 12 also features the manufacturer's proprietary connected technology solution 'Switch Ion', which enables remote, real-time diagnostics and monitoring services as well as digital battery management tools. The EV architecture of the Ei V platform is identical with the recently launched European Switch e1 bus.

Specifications

In terms of power and specifications, the Switch EiV 12 is powered by a new generation lithium-ion NMC battery. It is claimed that this daily can provide a limit of more than 300 km. Dual Gun Fast Charging feature increases the limit up to 500KM daily. Talking about power, the battery given in it provides power to the PMS AC motor with 315 BHP and 3,100 Nm output.

The brand's own technology solution named 'Switch ION' has also been given in the bus. 'Switch ION’ enables remote, real-time diagnostics and monitoring services as well as digital battery management tools. The EV architecture of the Ei V platform is identical with the recently launched European Switch e1 bus.
