Last year Toyota launched its first fully electric SUV, the BZ4X. It was only launched in the US and Japanese markets and looking at the electric cars growth in India, it may launch in India within a year or two. The electric SUV is based on the Japanese carmaker's e-TNGA platform. Let’s take a look at their specifications.
The car is launched with two battery options. The first is 71.4kwh and the other one is the 72.8kwh. It offers a range of up to 405 km within one charge. The electric SUV gets both front and all-wheel drivetrains that churns out up to 217PS and 265Nm. It can seat up to 5 passengers at a time. Toyota claims that the bZ4X electric SUV offers the largest legroom in the mid-size SUV segment. The electric SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in around seven seconds with the FWD variant while the AWD variant will clock the same sprint in around 6.5 seconds.
The Toyota electric SUV features heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a digital driver's display, and a nine-speaker JBL audio system.
