Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder | Walkaround Review
Toyota has finally unveiled its new mid-size SUV Urban Cruiser Hyryder for the Indian market. This is Toyota's first mid-size SUV in India. Toyota has not revealed the prices of the Hyryder SUV but they have officially started booking the all-new Hyryder. Customers can book by visiting the nearest dealership or online. Toyota Hyryder Exterior
Toyota’s new SUV features a dual-tone red and black exterior shade. Besides that, the SUV will also boast a single chrome slat across the front grille which bears resemblance to the Glanza hatchback. The Toyota logo is right in the middle of the grille. The SUV gets chrome garnished twin LED DRLs which have been installed at both the ends.
The bumper of the Hyryder SUV has been given a bold and muscular design at the front. Different styled projector LED headlamps have been installed on the bumpers of the SUV and the trapezoidal grille with honeycomb design element at the bottom of the bumper. A silver colored skid plate is also visible on the lower part of the bumper which completes the front look.
Toyota Hyryder Interior
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder will get features like climate control with rear AC vents, touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power driver’s seat, digital instrument cluster, leather upholstery, connected car technology and 360-degree camera.
The company has used a brown and black dual-tone theme for the cabin which adds to the upmarket feel. There is soft touch material on the dashboard and door pads. Other features include a heads-up display, multi-function steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustments, leather seat covers, ventilated front seats, cruise control, wireless phone charging, ambient lights etc.
Toyota Hyryder Engine and Performance
This is the first Toyota model in India to get a robust hybrid system. The stronger hybrid version of the Hyrider uses the 1.5-litre TNGA Atkinson cycle engine. Which generates torque of 92 PS and 122 Nm. This engine is coupled with an electric motor. Which generates power of 79 PS and torque of 141 Nm. The engine along with the electric motor generates a combined power of 115 PS. The Toyota Hyryder has a claimed range of 25 kms in electric mode only. This engine is mated to Toyota's e-drive transmission. The Hyryder will also get the AWD variant with drive modes.
Toyota Hyryder Price
The new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is expected to be priced from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom).
