Wayanad Landslide: Rescue Operation Continues on the 7th Day, 180 People Still Missing

Wayanad Landslide: On July 30, landslides swept through the Chooralmala and Mundakkai districts of Wayanad, killing several people. So far, 308 people have died in the landslide, with nearly 180 still missing. Relief and rescue teams have been searching for people for the past six days, with 220 bodies recovered thus far, according to Kerala Minister K Rajan.


Body Parts Found Under Rubbles

The district administration has begun mass burials of unidentified people killed in a landslide. The bodies were transported to the cemetery in several ambulances. Seven body parts were recovered from Nilambur and one from Soochipara. Eight bodies were cremated on Sunday, and the remaining will be cremated today.
