Weather Update: Heavy Snowfall Led To Destruction In Kullu, Himachal Pradesh

Weather Update:  The turn in the weather of Northern Indian has resulted in heavy rain and snowfall in the hilly regions of the country. Heavy snowfall in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, resulted in widespread destruction and loss of connectivity. Several accidents have been reported from the area, including a landslide in Banala on the Kiratpur-Manali highway, cutting off Kullu’s connectivity to the rest of the state.  

A boulder from the landslide hit a private bus from Manali to Pathankot, injuring four. A cloudburst in Lohardi increased the Uhl River's water levels, forcing the opening of Barot Dam gates. The destructive weather has led to many school closures and road blockages as well.
