After much controversy, the name of the father of the Bengali actress and MP from the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, Nusrat Jahan's son has been revealed. A few days ago, the name of alleged fellow Bengali actor Yash Dasgupta was written at the place of Nusrat Jahan’s son’s father on the birth certificate of Nusrat's son. While it must be noted that earlier the actress had refused to share any information about the name of the father of her child.
Nusrat gave birth to a son on 26th August 2021. Since the birth of the son, the question of who is the father of Nusrat’s son was arising, because Nusrat has already announced separation from her husband Nikhil Jain before the child, terming her marriage as 'illegal'.

In the birth certificate of Nusrat Jahan's son, the name of Nusrat Jahan’s son has been written as Yashan Dasgupta, whereas in the place of father’s name, Debashish Dasgupta has been written. It must be noted that the real name of actor Yash Dasgupta is Debashish. After being discharged from the hospital after delivery, Yash carried Nusrat's child in his arms.
Nusrat Jahan, while revealing the father of her son, said, 'I think this is a wrong question and it shows a wrong view of the character of a woman, who is the father? Does the father know who is the father of the son? We know that this moment is very special for us and we are having a good time. Yash and I are very happy.’ While since birth, speculations were being made about the father's name.
