AI Jobs in India: Sam Altman, the co-founder of OpenAI, a company that has made AI accessible to everyone, lost his job and was removed from his CEO position last week, despite the fact that the threat of job loss due to AI has remained the most debatable topic of the year. As a result, several hundred workers at OpenAI have decided to resign in protest. Even though the company just revealed Altman’s return to Open AI, the workers who were laid off earlier in protest are receiving job offers from other companies.
On November 17, the OpenAI board announced the firing of CEO Sam Altman, prompting hundreds of OpenAI employees to agree to resign in protest. More than 700 of this AI firm’s approximately 770 employees have signed a letter addressed to OpenAI’s board of directors stating that they are unwilling to work with such people who cannot take care of their employees. Every member of the board has been asked to resign in this letter and to bring back Altman, or else the employees can go to Microsoft. A few hours later, Marc Benioff, chief executive officer of Salesforce Inc., offered jobs to OpenAI researchers who had resigned, assuring a reasonable increase in compensation.
