Bahraich Violence: On Sunday a 22-year-old man was killed and several others were injured in a conflict between two groups over playing music during a Durga idol immersion parade in Bahraich village, Uttar Pradesh. Following the incident, tensions still engulfs the region, and many vehicles were set on fire, prompting police to use force to bring the situation under control.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took note of the occurrence and held a meeting with senior officials to address the district’s law and order situation. The Chief Minister directed the senior state authorities to reach the spot to take charge of the situation. In such a case, STF Chief Amitabh Yash went to the location.
