Bihar Political Crisis: Nitish Kumar’s decision to shift alliances yet again from Rashtriya Janta Dal to Bhartiya Janta Party has been making waves in the political climate of Bihar. In response to the current political shenanigan of the Janta Dal (United) leader, Shashi Tharoor made a linguistic jab calling Kumar a ‘snollygoster’.
What is a ‘snollygoster’?
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor took to satire to express his feelings about the alliance shifting of Nitish Kumar. He retweeted his tweet from July 2027 writing “
The word referred to has been ‘snollygoster’ meaning a shrewd and unprincipled politician. Tharoor has used the term in 2017 when Nitish Kumar broke away from the maha gathbandhan in Bihar. He also posted a video of a color-changing chameleon alluding to the shifting political climate in India.
Tejasvi Yadav, former Deputy CM of Bihar also questions Kumar’s decision to part ways again highlighting the political achievements of a young leader within 17 months contrasting with Nitish’s 7 years.
Tharoor’s remark becomes a weapon in the constantly shifting Indian political landscape.
