Jailer OTT release date: Superstar Rajnikanth is all set to mark a grand OTT return with his blockbuster, ‘Jailer’. The film has managed to gross over Rs. 500 Crore mark worldwide, while simultaneously winning over critics and audience hearts. Hemed by Nelson, the film has emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year, becoming the highest-grossing Tamil movie after 2.0 released in 2018. Now, the media and OTT reports suggest that Jailer will be taking a digital route, sooner than expected.

OTT giant Netflix has reportedly acquired the digital rights of Rajnikanth’s blockbuster and will soon be unveiling its release date and deets. The film has been sold at a whooping sum of Rs. 100 Crore. Jailer was rolled out in theatres on August 10, 2023.

With no confirmation as of yet, there are rumors that the film will be released on OTT sooner as compared to the traditional ritual of screening. Normally, a film takes around 3 months of theatrical runtime before making a digital way, however, Jailer will be released ahead of the expected time. And thereby, fans of Thalaivaa won’t have to wait long.

In all languages, the August 10 release of the movie "Jailer" brought in 48.35 crores. At the global box office, it exceeded 450.80 crores in just the first week. At the Indian box office, the movie has so far made around Rs 300 crore, while its global gross is almost at Rs 600 crore.
