Jawan OTT release date: extended version of SRK starrer to release on this OTT platform

Shahrukh Khan and Atlee's blockbuster, "Jawan," which has amassed an impressive net collection of Rs 477.28 crore in India, is now gearing up for an eagerly anticipated OTT release. The film has ignited a Bollywood frenzy worldwide, reaffirming Shahrukh Khan's dominance in the industry and his well-deserved title of 'King Khan.'

Jawan, featuring a star-studded cast including Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, and Vijay, along with a host of talented actors from both the South and Bollywood film industries, was released on September 7, 2023.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the film's director unveiled exciting details about its upcoming OTT release, further heightening the anticipation among fans.

Jawan OTT release date

In contrast with his previously released film ‘Pathaan’ which was released on Amazon Prime Video ‘Jawan’ will mark its digital debut on ‘Netflix’. Although no confirmation of the same has been made public yet media reports quote that the film has been purchased by the OTT giant, which made sure to pay a huge amount of money to acquire the rights.

Jawan Netflix release date

Netflix has yet to confirm the ‘Jawan’ OTT release date with official confirmation. Going by the reports the OTT platform paid a sum of Rs.250 Crore. Gauri Khan has produced Jawan within her own label Red Chillies. The rights comprised digital, music, and satellite transmission rights.

Extended version of Jawan on OTT

Speaking to the media outlet, Atlee Kumar stated that the digital experience will be completely different from what people saw on the big screen. In a statement, he added "I think we have given the theatre the right ratio of emotions at the right length. For OTT, we are considering a different rhythm. So, yeah, we are working on something. That's why I didn't go on my holiday. Let's see. Let me surprise you all,”. There are rumors and trends suggesting that ‘Jawan’ will debut on OTT with an extended and uncut version at various scenes.
