Zwigato review and reaction: The king of comedy Kapil Sharma is currently hitting the headlines for his upcoming release ‘Zwigato’. Backed by Applause Entertainment and held by Nandita Das, Zwigato official trailer was released a few days ago and it managed to strike a chord with the audience. On wednesday apart from releasing the second trailer of the film, the crew spoke about the time, length and glimpse of the storyline,they also spoke how the South Korean audience perceived the film when it first premiered at the 27th Busan Film festival last year.

A heart melting tale of hope and unbreakable spirit of an ex factory floor manager who after losing his job in the pandemic choses to become a delivery man going back and forth in the world of navigation and star ratings,overcoming hurdles. At the press conference Kapil Sharma spoke how the South Korean audience went emotional after watching the film not even knowing his comedy background. He stated "After watching the film, people were crying there, and they didn't even know that I'm known for comedy. So, I don't think there'll be any disappointment”.


Zwigato release date

The film, which was directed by Nandita Das, will premiere on March 17, 2023. At the Toronto and Busan International Film Festivals, the movie has already gotten rave reviews.


About Zwigato

Kapil plays a food courier in the Zwigato. The film traces his journey from losing his job as factory floor manager due to the pandemic to all the issues the app and his new job bring into his life in terms of navigation and star ratings. Shahana exhibits her desire to work and provide for her family as his wife as well, and together they try to overcome the hard times. The film briefly and deeply glimpsed all the real life problems of the general public during the lockdown era.

In September 2022, Zwigato had its global premiere at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival. The Asian premiere took place at the 27th Busan International Film Festival. At last the film was also shown at the Kerala International Film Festival.
