Kartarpur Corridor Reopens: The corridor opens today keeping in mind all Covid-19 protocols, know when the registration begins

Kartarpur Corridor Reopens:

Kartarpur Corridor on Wednesday has been reopened after almost 20 months. On the first day, 4-5 devotees have left for Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara Darshan while Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi along with his entire cabinet will also visit the Kartarpur Corridor to visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib on 18th November.

The entire Sikh community has welcomed the decision to open the corridor before the 552nd Prakash Purab of the first Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 19th November. There is also a wave of happiness among the local people of the Dera Baba Nanak. Trilochan Singh of Dera Baba Nanak said that the reopening of the Kartarpur Corridor is a good step. People are eagerly waiting to bow their heads at the Darbar (Gurdwara Darbar Sahib).

Vaccine and negative RTPCR necessary for travel to Kartarpur Corridor:

The Kartarpur corridor was closed in March 2020 considering the Covid-19 pandemic. And now people visiting the Kartaprur Corridor are required to represent the vaccination certificates and a negative RT PCR report, which is mandatory. Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee will celebrate the Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on 19th November in Sri Kartarpur Sahib, Pakistan itself. On this day, the Shiromani Committee will bear the entire cost of the batch being taken by the SGPC. A group led by SGPC head Bibi Jagir Kaur will go to Shri Kartarpur Sahib.

Bibi Jagir Kaur thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar for opening the Kartarpur corridor.

Kartarpur Corridor was inaugurated in 2019:

The Kartarpur Corridor was inaugurated on 9th November 2019. The Kartaprur corridor has been constructed from Dera Baba Nanak in the Gurdaspur district of Punjab to the Indo-Pak Border. On the other hand, a road has been built from Zero Line to Kartarpur Gurdwara in the Narowal district on the Pakistani side.
