Pakistan makes repeated attempts to incite terrorism in the Kashmir valley but their nefarious activities are always prevented by the Indian security forces. The army killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists who had infiltrated from Pakistan from Jumagund village along the Line of Control in district Kupwara during an encounter.
Six terrorists, including three Pakistani terrorists, have been killed in encounters in Kashmir in two days. All three Pakistani terrorists killed in the Baramulla encounter on Wednesday were related to Jaish-e-Mohammed. A jawan of the Jammu and Kashmir Police was also sacrificed in this encounter.
The terrorists are yet to be identified but a huge quantity of arms, ammunition and incriminating material has been recovered from the encounter site. Confirming the killing of all three terrorists, IG Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the killing of these terrorists immediately after the infiltration is a big success. He also congratulated the army and police for this.
Police sources say that these terrorists had infiltrated Indian territory from Jumagund village adjacent to the Line of Control at night. When some people of the village saw suspicious activity outside the village, they informed the police. The police also without wasting time started searching for the terrorists along with the army personnel. At one place, a face-off between terrorists and security forces started. The firing started from both sides. The security forces asked the terrorists to lay down their arms but they continued the firing.
