MasterChef India: These are the 4 finalists for the biggest cooking show in India

The wait for the seventh season finale of MasterChef India will be over soon, as the program will air on March 31, 2023. The finale is available to watch on Sony Entertainment Television and the Sony LIV app.

MasterChef India Season 7 Judges

Celebrity Chefs Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna, and Garima Arora are the judges for MasterChef India Season 7. After judging seasons 2 and 6, celebrity chef, author, and restaurateur Ranveer Brar has become synonymous with MasterChef India. 

Chef Vikas Khanna is trained at the Culinary Institute of America and New York University and was awarded an honorary doctorate by GD Goenka University in appreciation of his excellent efforts in culinary art, charity, and humanitarianism, as well as his global reach as a chef. 

Meanwhile, Indian chef Garima Arora became the first Indian woman to be awarded a Michelin star in November 2018. She collaborated with icons like René Redzepi of Copenhagen's Noma restaurant, Chef Gaggan Anand, and Gordon Ramsay.

MasterChef India Season 7 Finalists

The season began with 36 competitors who were chosen from auditions held around the country. They demonstrated their unrivaled abilities, and the judges were blown away by their abilities, tales, and passion for the craft. During the Ticket to Finale week, the first finalist was announced. The first contender to reach the finals was Ludhiana-based home cook Kamaldeep Kaur, who has consistently pleased judges with her culinary abilities and is also regarded as Chef Ranveer Brar’s favorite.

Out of the 36 contestants, we are now left with the top six finalists Aruna Vijay- a digital creator from Kanchipuram, Suvarna Bagul- a home chef from Mumbai, Gurkirat Singh- a law graduate from Haryana, Nayanjyoti Saikia- a blogger from Shillong, Santa Sharma- a home chef from Assam, and, of course, Kamaldeep Kaur.

MasterChef India Prize Money and Winner

Although the winner of Masterchef India 2023 has not yet been officially announced, rumors claim that information has already been leaked on social media. The prize has been won by the young chef Nayanjyoti Saikia. This season’s prize money has not yet been determined. But if the last season is any indication, the winner received a huge prize of INR 25 lakhs. The prize money for this season is expected to be somewhere in that range, according to rumours.
