30 Jan, 2025

Maha Kumbh 2024: Following the pre-dawn stampede at the Maha Kumbh Mela on Wednesday, CM Yogi Adityanath has unveiled 5 new key protocol changes for the safety of the devotees attending the fair.

The Maha Kumbh Mela has been declared a no-vehicular zone from now onwards to avoid traffic congestion in the Sangam area. The VVIP passes are no longer at the Mela as they have been canceled.

All the roads leading to the fair have been turned to one-way to make the traffic movement smooth. Street vendors are asked to shift to vacant areas from the road for easy traffic movement. Lastly, the police forces have been asked to increase their patrolling in the Mela area.
