Parliament Security Breach: In the afternoon winter session of the Parliament on Wednesday, a group of people jumped into the seating of the MPs and MLAs emitting yellow smoke during the session. The four violators were arrested from inside and outside the premises of the building. The key accused responsible for the breach, Lalit Jha has been now arrested.
Lalit Jha has been charged in Delhi for appalling the parliamentary privilege by halting the session midway with smoked canisters. The police were on the hunt for the key accused in the incident who surrendered himself to the police a day later and is under investigation.
The four accused arrested at the time of the event have been granted a 7-day custodial remand for the security breach by the Patiala House court.
The breach also raised questions in the lapses of security leading to the suspension of eight security personnel appointed to guard the building.
