The Renault Kiger received an update on 30 March, 2022. The 2022 Renault Kiger is available in RXE, RXL, RXT, RXT(O), and RXZ variant options. It can seat up to 5 people.
Most of the styling elements have been carried forward from the predecessor. However for freshness, the vehicle now offers new red fade dashboard accent and quilted emboss seat upholstery with red stitches. Moreover, depending on the variant, the Kiger now also offers cruise control and a wireless smartphone charger. Other feature highlights include an eight-inch touchscreen floating display and a seven-inch multi-skin reconfigurable TFT colour instrument cluster.
Its features list consists of wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto climate control.

The 2022 Renault Kiger continues to be based on the CMFA platform. The fresh changes are limited to the turbo variants which feature new tailgate chrome insert, ‘Turbo’ door decals, and 16-inch wheels with red wheel caps. Overall, the compact SUV has retained the styling elements from its predecessor which featured a sculpted bonnet design and a 3D-graphic-finished grille with honeycomb-shaped chrome highlights.
Safety equipment on offer includes up to four airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
The Kiger can be had in either of the two petrol engine options – 1.0-litre NA and 1.0-litre turbo. The 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 70bhp and 96Nm of torque at 3,500rpm. This engine is available in a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT option.
On the other hand, the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine produces 97bhp and 160Nm at 3,200rpm. The turbo engine is available in a five-speed manual and a five-speed CVT option. The top-spec variant also offers different driving modes – Normal, Eco, and Sports.
Renault sells the Kiger between Rs 5.84 lakh and Rs 10.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Nissan launched its smallest crossover SUV, the Magnite in India in December 2020. This SUV comes with a host of features and four variants.
Nissan offers the car in dark colour interiors and fabric upholstery for the seats. The car also has a lot of storage compartments such as cup and bottle holders, a 10-litre glove box, centre armrest storage, etc. There is a leather-wrapped steering wheel that has audio, voice assistant, cruise function and telephone control switches on it.
Additionally, there is an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It gets Nissan to connect fifty features and smartwatch connectivity. There is a seven-inch display in the instrument cluster as well.

This crossover SUV is equipped with LED dual-projector headlamps with J-shaped DRLs and LED fog lamps below the DRLs. There is black cladding across the lowermost part of the panels. Also, Nissan has given functional roof rails. It gets other features such as 16-inch wheels, rear defogger, rear-view camera with parking sensors etc.
The car comes with dual airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. Moreover, it is offered with various features such as anti-roll bar, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, hill start assist, hydraulic brake assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, and keyless entry.
The Nissan Magnite is powered by a 999cc naturally aspirated petrol engine which comes paired only to a five-speed manual gearbox while a 999cc turbocharged petrol engine can be either mated to a five-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission.
The Magnite gets two petrol engine options: a naturally aspirated 1-litre (72PS/96Nm) and a 1-litre turbo-petrol (100PS/160Nm). Both are mated to a 5-speed manual, while the turbo unit also gets the choice of a CVT (152Nm with the CVT).
The Magnite is priced from Rs 5.76 lakh to Rs 10.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
