Rishi Sunak urges for an end to war in Gaza, pleading for a humanitarian pause

World News:  The prime minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak urges for an end to bloodshed in Gaza as the Israel-Hamas war completes an appalling six months. He emphasizes a humanitarian pause to a sustainable ceasefire and releasing of hostages.

Sunak said “We continue to stand by Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas terrorists, but the UK is deeply troubled by the ongoing bloodshed…Today marks six months since the appalling attack on 7 October 2023, the worst loss of Jewish life since World War II. The Israeli wound remains unhealed and families continue to mourn.”
