Singham Again: Meet Deepika Padukone, The Brutal “Lady Singham” of Rohit Shetty’s Cop-verse

Singham 3: It’s Deepika Padukone’s world and we are living in it. No one can disagree with this statement, as the actress has taken Bollywood to a storm with her back-to-back outstanding roles, whether it’s “Aishwarya” in ‘Jawan’ or her upcoming mysterious look in Kalki 2898 AD. But before this, fans are about to witness a thrilling and never-before look of the actress in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming movie ‘Singham Again’. Earlier, Kareena Kapoor announced her comeback in the movie and now makers have revealed a jaw-dropping look of Deepika as the most violent female officer in a menacing look.

Deepika Padukone in Singham Again

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who started the Bollywood Cop-Universe, shared Deepika Padukone’s first look as “Shakti Shetty” with the caption, “NAARI SITA KA BHI ROOP HAI AUR DURGA KA BHI... MEET THE MOST BRUTAL AND VIOLENT OFFICER OF OUR COP UNIVERSE… SHAKTI SHETTY... MY LADY SINGHAM.” The look is itself giving us goosebumps, and Deepika’s maniac smile is all fans can ask for. In photos shared on Rohit Shetty’s Instagram, Deepika can be seen sporting a sinister grin while holding a rifle in a man’s mouth while donning a khaki outfit with blood splatters on it.

Not only fans, but even Ranveer Singh was not able to resist posting about the “Lady Singham.” Ranveer took to his Instagram and reposted Deepika’s terrific look and captioned it, “AALI RE AALI…LADY SINGHAM AALI !!!!! SHAKTI SHETTY has arrived in the Cop-verse !!!!!”

Singham Again Cast

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again, also features Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan in key roles. The film is set to be released in theatres on July 4, 2024, and will clash with Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’. In Singham Again, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar will return in their respective roles as Simmba and Sooryavanshi as special guests. Singham, the first film in the series, starred Ajay Devgn, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prakash Raj and was released in 2011. The film was followed by the sequel ‘Singham Returns’ in 2014. Both of these films were a huge success at the box office.
