Manoj Bajpayee & Konkona Sen Sharma Are Here To Serve Stirring, Crimson, 'Killer Soup' on Netflix

Killer Soup on Netflix:  Netflix India has dropped a poster of Manjoy Bajpayee and Konkona Sen Sharma’s forthcoming crime thriller, Killer Soup. The crime series was officially announced with a clip of behind-the-scenes on March 4, 2022—the announcement a year back titled the series 'Soup'. 

About The Series 

The series is set in a town in South India called Mainjur which has Swathi Shetty at the center, with aspirations to be a chef, with fewer culinary talents than a home chef. Her not-so-encouraging husband does not help the situation much either. As the occasion allows, she starts simmering a recipe to replace her husband Prabhakar with her lover Umesh. A plan that if worked well could make the two Mrs. and Mr. Shetty forever.

Netflix released the poster with the caption, “A story so bizarre, you need to watch it to believe it. Know the ingredients of this Killer Soup starring Manoj Bajpayee, Konkona Sensharma, and Manoj Bajpayee coming to you on 11 Jan only on Netflix.”

Release Date, Actors & Makers 

The series is slated to release on January 11, 2024. Along with Bajpayee, and Konkona, the series features telegu industry famed Nasser, Sayaji Shinde, Anbuthasan, Anula Navelkar, Kani Kusruti, and Lal. 

The crime thriller is said to be loosely inspired by the same news headline. The eccentric visuals juxtaposing blood, dead bodies, meat, and soup do leave one intrigued. Wrapped with dark humour and blizzardiness, it is directed and co-written by Abhishek Chaubey, and produced by Honey Trehan & Chetana Kowshik.  

“With ‘Killer Soup,’ we wanted to give the audience permission to laugh and also be totally shocked with a crime thriller that blends in humor and quirkiness.” said the director of the movie. 

The plot seems appetizing, it will be intriguing to see how the talented cast and story writing will amaze its audience with a comic thriller. 

Konkona has been a part of Netflix originals like Lust Stories 2, and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Manoj Bajpayee has been critically acclaimed for his performance in Netflix’s Ray and other projects including Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hai, Silence…Can You Hear It?, and The Family Man.
