Srikanth Bolla Life & Family

Srikanth was born on 7 July 1991 in a family of rice farmers who derived their major sustenance from farming.

Born in Seetharamapuram, Machilipatnam, a city in Andhra Pradesh, Bolla was visually impaired from birth which prompted his relatives to suggest ‘getting rid of him’ to his parents as he is of ‘no use.’ Srikanth was a prodigy with exceptional knowledge and prowess in the field of science.

He married his wife Veera Swathi in 2022. The couple have a daughter together.

Passed class 12th with 98%
Business Management Success from MIT

His impairment landed him in several challenges from a young age. He was not allowed to pursue science in matriculation which motivated him to file a case against the board. His court victory meant he would take up science at his own risk where he topped the class with an average of 98% in 12th standard.

Despite his genius, Bolla was denied admission to India’s prestigious IIT on grounds of his impairment. But he said, “If IIT didn't want me, I didn't want IIT either”. He then became the first international student to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to study business management science.

Bolla decided to return to India to contribute his knowledge and innovation in the favour of those in need of it at home in India. The company is also known for manufacturing sustainable and eco-friendly recyclable and reusable products.
