Srikanth Movie 2024: Rajkummar Rao has been considered one of the finest actors in the Indian Film Industry, and the actor has always excelled in every character he played on-screen, from a farmer who struggles in the streets of Mumbai to attain a livelihood for his family to a gay cop who marries a lesbian girl to disguise his real self from his family. Adding another star to his film career, the recently released movie “Srikanth” starring Rao portraying a real-life character proved why he is always the first choice for playing in-depth roles. The movie is a biopic of industrialist Srikanth Bolla, which was released in theatres on 10th May. On the first day of its release, the film performed well at the box office, with a decent amount of earnings.
On the day of its premiere, Srikanth had an overall occupancy rate of 12.14%, with the majority of attendees preferring night shows in theaters. In Mumbai, there were 484 screenings, with a 13.25% occupancy rate. Meanwhile, in Delhi and NCR, where 763 screenings were held, the occupancy rate settled at 12%. According to initial estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film made Rs 2.25 Cr on its first day in India. Srikanth surpassed recent releases like Laapataa Ladies and Madgaon Express, which grossed Rs 75 lakh and Rs 1.63 Cr, respectively. Furthermore, Srikanth’s first day collection surpassed the earnings of films such as Do Aur Do Pyaar and LSD2, which grossed Rs 50 lakh and Rs 15 lakh, respectively.
#Srikanth puts up a decent total on Day 1… Absence of major films in the marketplace has given the film that extra push… However, the biz needs to multiply on Sat - Sun for a respectable weekend total… Fri ₹ 2.41 cr. #India biz. #Boxoffice
