In Bhupalpally, Telangana, during the "Haath Jodo Padyatra," Telangana Congress State President Revanth Reddy was attacked with eggs. A group of BRS workers pelted the Congress leader with eggs when he was speaking to a wayside crowd as part of his "Haath Se Haath Jodo" march. The entire incident, according to Revanth Reddy, was the conduct of Bhupalpally MLA Gandra Venkataraman Reddy of the in power Bharat National Committee (BRS).

The situation didn’t come to an end with just eggs pelting, later both sides of parties were seen stone pelting each other while engaging in an intense fight. As a result a police officer got badly injured while trying to intervene and resolve the conflict.

In order to protect Revanth Reddy, the security personnel in the crowd created a circle around him. By clutching a piece of cloth from all sides, they made an effort to save the party leader from any physical injury since the opposition was uncontrollable . Nonetheless, some Congress workers threw bottles and stones at the BRS members in the theater. According to the police, there was constant stone-throwing from both sides for ten minutes. As a result, the theater's window panes' glassware were smashed, and a police officer also sustained injuries.
