Uber, an app-based taxi service company, has introduced a new feature for group journeys in India. When heading to a common location, this allows you to share the ride with up to three people. Users will be able to save up to 30% on their fares by using Group Passenger. Users will be able to add their friends to Uber journeys by sharing ride details via messaging apps. When friends join the trip, they will be able to add their own pickup spots, which will be updated as the journey progresses.
The group rides function, according to Uber, allows users to share ride fares with only three individuals at a time. A maximum of five stop places can also be added to the function. The business also stated that in group rides, customers can invite their friends by sending a link. "With Group Rides, we give customers the option to save more money while riding with people they know." "Not only do riders save money and arrive at the same destination together, but they also do a good deed by getting more butts in fewer cars," said Nitish Bhushan, Director of Central Operations, Uber India, in a statement.
Open the Uber app on your smartphone.
Navigate to the bottom tab and select Services.
Tap on the Group Ride feature to access it.
Enter the location of your last drop.
You will now have the option to distribute the link to your friends so that they can join the group ride.
When your friends click on the link you emailed them, they will be automatically included in the group ride.
Your ride will then begin.
