Vedang Raina Biography:  The Archies cast has been surprising us all with their multifaceted talents and skills. A member of the cast who has gained immense limelight since the drop of the teaser of the movie based on the popular American comic, The Archies is Vedang Raina. He will be seen playing the role of Reggie Mantle who claims to charm his way through your heart  

Who is Vedang Raina? 

The 23-year-old actor, singer, and model, Vedang Raina is one of the ‘new’ faces in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies streaming on Netflix from 7 December 23. 

Education

Born on June 2, 2000, in Mumbai Vedang went to the much-acclaimed Jamnabai Narsee School and attended the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and Studies later. 

Raina has been passionate about singing and performing arts since his college days and it has been his driving force to venture into acting. 

Music was his first love 

Although it was his debut as an actor that escalated the clicks on his name on the web, Vedang realized his love for performance while exploring his grasp of rhythm and lyrics. He ventured on YouTube to display his singing skills where he covered The Weekend’s  ‘Earned It’ and ‘Phir Le Aya Dil’ by Arijit.  

How did he slip into acting?  

Vedand credited his talent agency to push him into acting. He has been auditioning since the age of 17 and gradually fell in touch with the craft and its nuances. 

He always gravitated toward performing arts and enjoyed music, singing, playing guitar, and performing on stage. He started taking acting sincerely in his admiration for Hrithik Roshan, whom he adored as a child for his larger-than-life superhero character, Krishh. When he reached adulthood it was McConaughey’s Interstellar and True Detective 1 leaving a life-altering impression on him cementing his devotion to acting. 

Vedang’s character Reggie is self-enchanted, unabashedly confident, and a charming guy in the fictional Riverdale. He is sharing the screen with Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal, Yuvraj Menda, and Koel Purie. We might see Vedant on the same screen as Alia Bhatt in her upcoming, Jigra.
