Cannes 2025: The 78th Cannes Film Festival is making headlines for all things film and fashion. Indian celebrities and their work have been one of the integral highlights at the red carpet this year, with a prominent surge in the traditional Saree surging again with a bang on return. From Aishwarya Rai to Parul Gulati, Indian women at the French Riviera have donned the 6-yard of elegance for a moment, bending cultural representations and fashion.

Let’s revisit some of the most talked-about saree looks from the Cannes Film Festival 2025 so far!

Aishwarya Rai’s Ivory Saree Moment

Hailed as the ‘Queen of Cannes’. Aishwarya Rai did not fail to stun us all in a stunning Manish Malhotra moment wearing an ivory Benarasi silk saree styled with strung ruby jewels around her neck, on her ears, and hands.

She was the cultural ambassador of India with a bright sindoor taking center stage on her head, adding traditional allure to the complete look.

Aditi Rao Hydari in A Red Saree

For her day 2 at Cannes, Aditi Rao Hydari left everyone awestruck in a statement red saree from the shelves of Raw Mango, which she styled with a golden gemstone choker, studded earrings, and rings. Her red saree look was a subtle nod to her new marriage with actor Siddhart, and the red vermilion in her hair partition made it all the more iconic.

Sakshi Sindwani’s Ivory Dream

Fashion content creator, Sakshi Sindwani, debuted at the Cannes Film Festival this year. She opted for an ivory lave look by Jade by Monica and Karishma wearing a custom white saree with a halter blouse and a trail. Her look gave a hint of blended Indian traditional attire with the white wedding twist.

Parul Gulati in a Majestic Modern Saree

Parul Gulati, the malkin of Nish Hair, made a saree statement at the Cannes with her unique twist, of course! In a golden saree designed by Riddhi Bansal, Gulati wore it with a strapless blouse. What stood out was that the Benarasi tissue saree was set in resin to give it a sheer and sculpted wet look.
