Cannes 2024: As the Festival de Cannes is heading toward its conclusion, the talk of the town or should we say, the talk of the French Riviera, were the breathtaking debutants gracing the event donning their culture with grace at the Red Carpet. What caught more attention were the Indian celebrities and famous personalities with their exquisite collections and outfits that were acknowledged by the viewers. While we had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan appearing in a Falguni Shane Peacock gown, Kiara Advani stole our hearts with her deep neck thigh high slit gown by designer Prabal Gurung, followed by the black and pink bow gown accessoried with black lace gloves, and BVLGARI jewelleries. 

Several influencers also made their much awaited debut, including Ankush Bahuguna, Nancy Tyagi, RJ Karishma, and others. However, many Bollywood celebs and influencers went unnoticed in the 77th edition of Festival de Cannes. Let us take a look.

Jacqueliene Fernandez

Although not a debutant, one of the attendees we weren’t expecting was Jacqueliene Fernandez, who was a part of the event in association with automotive brand BMW, and wore a stunning golden gown from Mikael D Couture. For her second look, the actress was seen soaking in the sun with a sheer white dress with floral embroidery, paired with a diamond necklace and high bun.

Chhaya Kadam

Laapata Ladies actor Chhaya Kadam made her debut at Cannes Film Festival with a touch of ancestral and elegance, and wore her mother’s saree along with a nath on the Red Carpet. The actress was there for the screening of her film ‘All We Imagine As Light’. Known for her role as Manju Mai in Kiran Rao’s directed ‘Laapata Ladies’, Kadam has also received much recognition for her role in ‘Madgaon Express’, which also stars Kunal Khemu and Nora Fatehi.


Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah

Naseeruddin Shah made his grand Cannes debut with wife Ratna Pathak Shah, who attended the screening of ‘Manthan’, India's first crowdfunded film, in the Cannes Classics section. Naseeruddin wore a cream sherwani, and Ratna looked stunning in a golden sari with a lavender blouse. 

Prateik Babbar

Actor Prateik Babbar made his first appearance at the 77th Cannes edition to attend the screening of her late mother Smita Patil’s movie ‘Manthan’. He made a stunning appearance, looking effortlessly charming in a custom-made black suit by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’ actor was accompanied by Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah.

Avneet Kaur and Shantanu Maheshwari

Actors and internet personalities Avneet Kaur and Shantanu Maheshwari made their stunning Cannes debut to reveal the first look of their upcoming film ‘Love in Vietnam’. Both of them were seen wearing white laced outfits, with Kaur donning a white jumpsuit, while Shantanu keeping it simple yet classy white shirt and bottoms.
