CR Patil Win: BJP leader CR Patil emerged victorious yet again from his Navsari Seat in Gujrat in the Lok Sabha Election 2024. He won with an impressive margin of 773,551 against Congress led by Naishadh Bhupatbhai Desai.
Born as Chandrakant Raghunath Patil to a police constable Raghunath and Sarubai Patil on 16 March 1995, in Pimpri Akaraut village in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon. Coming from a family associated with law enforcers, a sense of service has been cultivated in Patil since a young age playing a poignant role in his career and education.
After his higher education, Patil was enrolled at the Industrial Training Institute in Surat working on his vocational training gaining essential hard and soft skills.
Prior to his endeavors in the political arena of the state and country, CR Patil has followed the steps of his father to join the police force as a constable in 1975. He resigned from his long spanning career after 14 years to join the media industry. In his new profession, Patil was working with ‘Navgujarat Times’ a Gujarat daily in 1991. Directly or indirectly Patil’s associations with the legislature and judiciary has been for a long time, leading to him finally entering political geography.
In 1989, his political journey started with BJP as the city treasurer of Surat followed by the post of the city’s Vice President of BJP. Among the several significant titles and offices he held, he was shouldered the role of the chairman of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemical Limited, a public sector undertaking.
Patil, the incumbent member of Parliament of Navsari constituency since 2008 when the new constituency of Navsari was created. He has been winning his seat as the MP of Navsari since then, followed by his re-election in the Lok Sabha Election 2014 and 2019.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha Election he won by a big margin of 6.9 lakhs votes from Navsari winning him a historic triumph as it was the second highest margin in electoral history.
With his victory at the 2024 elections, he won with 1,031,065 votes.

Becoming the first Indian MP to receive an ISO certification for the quality management system in monitoring and administration of government services for his constituency in 2013, Patil encouraged CMO Gujarat to strive for the same.
He became the first non-Gujarati to hold the position of President of the Gujarat state unit of BJP in 2020.
Under his leadership,Navsari became India’s first “smokeless” district, with zero usage of firewood or kerosene, promoting the use of cleaner energy sources.
