Preity Zinta is Back:  Preity Zinta is back in the business. The actress shared the photos from the set of ‘Lahore 1947’ starring Sunny Deol and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi announcing her return to Bollywood. 

The actress’s charm is indomitable with her dimpled smile and delightful personality. She was in the headlines a few days back for her IPL look and this time she has delighted her fans with the big news of her comeback after a hiatus since 2009.  

Preity Zinta Shooting for ‘Lahore 1947’

‘Veer-Zara’ actresses unveiled the news by sharing behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of ‘Lahore 1947’. Taking her admirers aback by a surprise she wrote ‘On set for Lahore 1947’. The photos have a clapperboard of the movie followed by selfie pictures with the director of the film, Rajkumar Santoshi.

‘Lahore 1947’ is a highly anticipated upcoming movie of Sunny Deol after the success of his ‘Gadar 2’. It will mark a collaboration between Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol after movies like ‘The Hero: Love Story of a Spy’, and ‘Farz’. 

Fans Reaction to PZ’s Comeback 

Fans have been elated since the news of her return. A Rani-Preity admirer wrote “Rani Mukerji fans are thrilled to have you back. May the Rani-Preity era return 🔥❤️ Wishing our Zaara/Rhea/Jahnvi the very best 💕✌️”. Some also appreciated the great work of Santoshi in comments saying “Rajkumar Santoshi is criminally underrated director so good to see hi@ back in action”. Another won penned their excitement, “AM I DREAMING!???❤️❤️ We really cannot wait to see our queen back on the big screen.” 

About ‘Lahore 1947’

Helmed by Santoshi, the movie is backed by Aamir Khan Productions, marking a debut collaboration between Deol and Khan’s production. It was announced last October. In a joint statement, Khan and Santoshi have expressed their excitement to announce their next film starring Sunny Deol, and directed by Rajkumar Santonshi. “The journey we have embarked on promises to be most enriching”, they said.    

Additionally, the movie also features Shabana Azmi in a pivotal role in the cast with A.R. Rahman and Javed Akhtar getting on board to make it the director’s dream team.
